The Tigrat police buildings are a recurring element throughout the country. Many of the buildings of the Tegart include a long history, a history that begins before the establishment of the state. The Tigers transmit power and restraint with the seemingly straight and simple lines and the whole structure means security. The Tegart building in Rehovot is populated by the Rehovot police and the Israel Police headquarters. The building sits along Herzl's main axis, north-south of the city, both in terms of transportation and urban areas.

 In my project to preserve the structure of the Tegart in Rehovot, I decided that the right thing in my opinion, in order to preserve the Tegart in the best possible way, is to make the building an integral part of the daily lives of the city's residents and the outside population. Therefore, the uses I have decided to develop in the building are a municipal library, an urban business hotel and a proposal for a residential building that shares two common yards that conduct a dialogue between them. I sealed the new yard with a proposal for a possible residential building. The structure of the Tegart in Rehovot is built in the form of a completely closed and enclosed rectangle. The entrance is from the main facade on Herzl Street. In my new design, I created two new entrances to the building in addition to the main entrance. One entrance to the hotel,  and another entrance from the common yard into the Tegarts yard. The new planning comes from the thought that the full preservation of the building will not provide the life it needs in order to be preserved in the consciousness of the residents.
